Week 3: Reading Diary A ( The Ramayana)

1. One of the questions that I had while reading this book, what if Sita and Rama were never reincarnated. Would they still have to same spark that they feel for each other right now. Rama who was an incarnation of Vishnu and Sita whom was a incarnation of Vishnu's consort would never work out if they knew the truth about each other. I wonder if in the story their true identity would be revealed. What would happened, would they still remained married or would they have to face the fact that love is not strong enough for them not to kill each other.

2. Because Rama is exiled, he is accompanied by his brother and Sita. As Rama moves deeper into the forest, he notices a beautiful young lady named Kamavalli, who is the sister of Ravana. Because, she is in love with Rama she plots to kill Sita. Now another question that popped up in my head while reading, was the charm of Rama. Although he claims that he was in love with Sita, it didn't stop him from talking to Kamavalli. Why did Rama allow Kamavalli to express his feelings for him if he was in love with Sita? I wonder if that changed how he felt about Kamavalli. In my eyes Rama was a player that loved many women and could not control his heart. I wonder if he had a secret plan the whole time to get close to Sita and then enact his plan to take her down.
